rePUBLIC

Ya! It’s now 4.29 am, a winter morning and am now am blogging. U can recall Nehru saying “…when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.” But today morning the country is going 2 celebrate REPUBLIC DAY. So, am not awake for… but simply, my dream did not tolerate me sleeping.
Usually I dream sth. romantic and fancy, though am not. Leikin sapne mein control nahin hota…right. THE DREAM, which made me awake, was somewhat poles apart. U know! It was a documentary style. I woke up… my blood pressure would be, let’s say 200/180.
Horrible man! God promise, it’s true. I am not in dictate of emotion now. Yesterday night, I was telling my brother what Republic is all about. a political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them and so on. When the President was addressing the nation, I was addressing my younger brother and my cousin on the eve of Republic Day. I was making them understand republic means, republic means and republic means… I also mentioned, to show up, “u go 2 our law school and ask, hardly any 1 can make u understand. But I can... u see… . He immediately responded Bhaiya! Dr. Afroz Alam can. I responded, “look, don’t try to be over smart… Dr. is no more in KIIT. The whole exercise was that I was trying to make him appreciate that “it is rule of law”, different from rule of monarch and majority.
Ya! My dream. It goes like this… I was going 2 a court of law… I was in internship or not, I have to ask. But I was going,,, a formal dress as always. Oh! Thanks God! That Ayan was not there. De Sarkar! Non sense…
A court room, when I entered, I saw a criminal and a police: Jaam ke khao, kuch kar dekhao. I was frightened off. Some mishap may break out. After some minutes, I saw a police officer just broke one hand of that man… an awful vista. Blood and blood like river Daya, swamped that cement stair case. After that also the man struggled to head for the hills… That butcher type police now bring out a stiletto like thing and cut two legs and other hand. Oh my God!!!!!!! I am sure it must be a fierce world. The police was saying and I have clearly remembered the police while butchering was over and over again saying LAW IS LAW, NO ONE is Superior 2 LAW. I don’t know what kind of law, he was talking about.
Today, when my brother will awake, I will tell him the man would have been treated according 2 the sweet will of a dictator, if it had been a monarchy; of a few, in oligarchy; of majority, in democracy- which my friend YK don’t want----“NO DEMOCRACY” and of law, in rePUBLIC.  I may be 180 degree wrong but I understand it like this.
Law ka kuch asar padhraha hai… beta sapne main bhi law ka documentary dekhta hai. By the way I have 2 go for flag hosting. Bye. Wish every 1 Happy Republic Day. Let this legislature not put down it out and let the court protects it saying Basic Structure…
Jai Hind.

3 idiOTS

Vinod Chopra’s 3 idiots is the highest grossing Bollywood movie till date. 250 cr. Oh! my God… The level of discussion outside cinema hall makes u feel like committing sin, if you have not watched it. The blogs of this country are discussing, arguing, and criticizing this movie from 3 i to s: starting from Yes! Our education system has to change 180 degree to the IPR violation. It’s fine that they've given me credit in the rolling credits, but how can they not give me credit for the story? and going on controversies.

Fortunately or unfortunately, day before yesterday my evening was spend with 3 idiots. I could able to understand our educational system more clearly, when I don’t get time to write something in this blog, after watching the movie. Kirloska v Kirloskar and Dhariwal Industries Ltd. and Anr. Vs. M.S.S. Food Products were the MUST READ for 7th and 8th Jan respectively and you are my specialization students means U hav 2 read the original judgment in Nicaragua v. USA (277 pages). Please no offence yaar..But we can’t help it… our BCI’s system is such like engineering in that movie. You have to read those judgments, even if you like or not.

By the way, I didn’t intend to write these things,,,, but you know, you have to start saying something. In this movie I could not able to understand who were the idiots? The director said Farhan Qureshi, Raju Rastogi, and Rancchoddas "Rancho" Shyamaldas Chanchad are 3 idiots. But I feel sth. antithetic.

Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe (ViruS), the man responsible for Joy’s suicide. Joy had requested an extension on his major project on compassionate grounds but ViruS refused. A teacher, who is inhuman with a brutish heart… A teacher, who essayed a number of time to put down the friendship, warning them and their parents to steer clear of Rancho…A teacher, who never boost the students to do sth. that is not obvious. I cogitate he is one of the idiot in this movie.

Secondly, the model student of ViruS’ Chatur Ramalingam or "Silencer", like we have one in our law school (Again no offence please). The boy with no creativity but one target high rank, higher social status, corporate power and wealth. That’s all. I have to get it by heart; no matter Chamatkar or Balat… Idiot! The idiot student of a idiot teacher.

Suhas, the materialist man. No connection with other things of the world. He should be a tradesman. Always this was Rs?/- and that is Rs@/-. There are many Suhas like idiots in every society, to whom only and only money matters. Actually if I would have produced this film, my 3 idiots would have been these three…

YOUR ONLY DUTY IS TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS

2010 January 1, the first day of a fresh decade, if we go by English calendar. In 1990, I was ignorant about the universe. In 2 and triple zero, I hardly know anything to welcome a decade with a novel plan, Veeshma’s pratigyna (promise) and commitment, fragile only after the accomplishment. But this time, I am aware about happenings of this world. I have many words to promise, many things to aspire and many novelties to achieve.
There are many things, ahead to start with but those are much personal to share with. Let’s talk about something common. I have not achieved the wisdom of Vivekananda or Ramkrishna to think and talk about the universe in this age but let’s confine ourselves to India that is Bharat only (I will not say like the statutes of this country, excluding J& K because it don’t see any logic to exclude it when this part of the territory, is with us for more than 6 decades).
It is superb to initiate aman ki asha (by TOI and Pakistan’s Jang Group). But it is heart rendering to see India, among the world's 25 most populous countries, which have the most restrictions on religion and India is next only to Iraq when it comes to social hostility and religious discrimination perpetrated by individuals and groups, according to the Pew Forum's study. How false these studies may be, but there may be some truth in it. We may dispute about the rankings but we are not out of the blame list.
We are not what we think of ourselves but we are what, others very often flirt with us. I agree India’s free and pluralistic society has always been seen differently by different person and badly by jealous one and I am ready to defend it. But our standard which is before us: the Constitution proves us far from it and I can’t say now how near we are...
A country yet to be constituted. Yah! I mean to reconstitute and not necessarily differently…. Not in the way the fundamentalist want but in the line of the Constitution, which our forefather has given us. I have not elected them to the Constituent assembly, its true and no doubt about it but still I aspire for that India, which those visionary had envisioned.
Yes the time has come to constitute that India where JUSTICE, LIBERTY, EQUALITY and FRATERNITY will be ensured. The country which will not discriminate. The country which will not divide. The country which will protect and guarantee security from external aggression and internal disturbances.
Let’s aspire for a country, in the first day of this decade, where even Varun Gandhi will not be punished for speaking non-sense. The country where it will hardly matter if I say something and that is politically erroneous. I believe in Tilak’s words ‘liberty of speech give birth to a nation and nourish it’. The country where Bal Thackeray will not advice “Confine yourself to cricket”….Liberty of speech, as Gandhiji will tell you, is unassailed even when the speech hurts.
Let my country people not be ruled in an authoritarian and despotic manner. Let all have the right to say what we feel. Why a political leader be suspended to have a difference of opinion on the past records of the history? We must not forget the “democratic” word, which we had given to ourselves is not merely a political democracy but something above than that i.e. a democratic way of life and here Raj Thackeray has the same right as I have.
Let the freedoms of all kind starting from Article 14 to 21, 22 and so on; every freedoms be ensured. Let the citizen of this country promise to ensure this. Yes! We believe in duty not right but we have to remember the wordings of Lord Krishna (the authority), in Mahabharata: YOUR ONLY DUTY IS TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS.
